My journey into therapy didn't begin with a plan to become a therapist. It began with years of working alongside people through some of the most personal, challenging and transformative moments of their lives.

But it also began with me.

There was a time in my own life when I felt broken, disconnected and unsure of where I was heading. I wanted to feel like I was actually living a life worth living, but I didn't have all the tools or answers to get there. What I did have was a willingness to look deeper, get curious and do the work.

That journey of self-discovery became a huge part of my own transformation. I explored different ways of understanding myself, healing and creating change, and along the way discovered approaches that went beyond what I had previously known.

As a Registered Nurse, I spent more than 13 years working across primary health care and witnessed the mental, emotional and spiritual disconnection experienced by thousands of people. I became increasingly curious about what sits beneath the symptoms, behaviours and circumstances we see on the surface.

I began to recognise that while evidence and science are incredibly important, they are not always the whole story of a person. There are other layers to explore: our experiences, our bodies, our emotions, our relationships, our beliefs and, for some, our energy and spirituality.

I wanted to understand people more deeply. Not just what was happening to them, but how their experiences shaped the way they think, feel, relate and move through the world.

That curiosity led me into energy-based healing, complementary and holistic practices, counselling and deeper therapeutic work. I continued learning, questioning, exploring and, most importantly, doing my own work.

Paradoxx was born in 2020 from that journey and a vision to create something different. A space where there is room for both the evidence and the exploration, the talking and the feeling, the practical and the intuitive.

And that's really the heart of why I do what I do today. I know what it feels like to be searching for a way forward, and I know how powerful it can be when someone gives you the space, support and tools to find it.
